Focus on Rural Development with Environmental Sustainability
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Shri Kamlesh Paswan participated in a special tree plantation drive and reiterated his commitment to environmental conservation. He appealed to the public, especially in rural areas, to plant more trees and actively contribute to preserving nature.
Inspiring the Vision of a Green India
Minister Paswan stated, “A clean and green environment is the foundation of sustainable development. Creating environmental awareness in villages is just as important as in urban areas. Without greenery in rural regions, urban environmental balance cannot be achieved.”
A Bond of Friendship and Shared Purpose
During the event, the minister shared that World Environment Day holds special significance for him personally, as it strengthens his connection with nature. He also mentioned that many of his close friends are actively involved in environmental initiatives, and together they are working towards the dream of a ‘Greener India.’
Active Participation from Local Communities
The event saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, school children, and volunteers. Minister Paswan administered an environmental pledge to the children and distributed saplings to encourage them to take part in the mission.
Save Environment Save the Nation
Concluding his address, Shri Paswan urged everyone to reduce plastic use, conserve water, and plant at least one tree every year. “One tree is equal to one life. Understand its value, and become its guardian,” he said.
