Dr. Nayak began her address by paying tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, emphasizing their unmatched valor, dedication, and sacrifice. Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack, Dr. Nayak condemned the brutal targeting of innocent tourists by Pakistani-backed terrorists. She lauded the Indian military’s decisive counterattack through Operation Sindoor, which struck multiple terrorist bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), including locations sheltering F-16 jets and air defense systems.
She particularly praised women officers, Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, whose leadership in Operation Sindoor sent a strong message of national pride and gender empowerment. Dr. Nayak emphasized that this operation symbolizes India’s collective resistance against religious extremism.

Highlighting the Congress party’s resolve to maintain national unity above politics, Dr. Nayak announced the launch of the “Jai Hind Yatra” from all Congress headquarters across India.
