SEBI Gives Clean Chit in Only 2 of 24 Adani-Related Matters Amid Prolonged Probe; Multiple Allegations Beyond Regulatory Scope

Contrary to the managed headlines, the commercial partner in Modani Enterprises has now received a “clean chit” from SEBI only in two of the twenty matters being investigated by it under a Supreme Court-mandated probe. The Supreme Court, on 2 March 2023, had directed SEBI to “conclude the investigation within two months” following the Hindenburg Report. Yet, the first SEBI orders were delivered only after two years and seven months, following repeated extensions and delays. Despite Supreme Court’s directive for swift investigationWe now await SEBI’s findings on the remaining 22 matters, which include allegations of insider trading in Adani Group companies, violations of rules relating to minimum public shareholding, and the 13 “suspicious transactions” that SEBI told the Supreme Court on 25 August, 2023, that it was investigating. These involve offshore dealings by close Adani associates Nasser Ali Shaban Ahli and Chang Chung-Ling.The Modani scam, however, extends far beyond the scope of SEBI’s investigations. As the Indian National Congress had revealed in its list of hundred questions in the HAHK (Hum Adani ke Hain Kaun) series of questions to the Prime Minister, it also encompasses: SEBI’s delayed orders cover just two cases1. The misuse of agencies such as the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department to force companies to sell off their assets to the Adani Group.2. Biased privatisation of critical infrastructure assets like airports and ports for the benefit of only the Adani Group.3. The misuse of diplomatic resources to funnel contracts to the Adani Group in different countries, especially in the neighbourhood.4. The import of over-invoiced coal by Ahli and Chang, which contributed to sharp increases in the prices of electricity drawn from Adani power stations in Gujarat.5. A ₹2,000 crore ($250 million) bribery scheme allegedly orchestrated by Gautam Adani and seven associates to secure high-priced solar power contracts in India – regarding which the Modi government has refused, for nearly a year, to serve a US SEC summons to the PM’s partner.

Vote Chori is not new issue Arvind Kejriwal had already exposed it during Delhi elections, says Saurabh Bharadwaj

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hit out at the Election Commission (EC), declaring that ‘Vote Chori’ (vote theft) is no new issue and was first exposed by Arvind Kejriwal on 29 December 2024 — long before Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke of it today. AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj said the Election Commission refused to probe the matter despite glaring evidence, and when it finally summoned applicants for vote deletions, only 11 people turned up — all of whom denied filing such requests. The AAP Delhi unit chief revealed that in the New Delhi Assembly constituency alone, 42,000 votes were deleted out of 1.48 lakh in one go, with another 6,100 removed later. He added that while only 84 people applied for the deletion of 4,000 votes, applications were filed to create more than 10,000 fake votes. He warned that for the past 11 years, a systematic conspiracy of fraudulent vote theft has been murdering democracy across the country. Today, that press conference happenedOn Thursday, senior AAP leader and Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “For several days, we were waiting for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s press conference. Today, that press conference happened, and he pointed to a place in Karnataka called Aland, where he said around 6,000 votes were wrongly deleted. He explained it well, but what he explained was theoretical, and based on old matters. Even the EC had responded to it in some way. I am not placing any new facts before you today, but I want to tell the people of the country through you all that the very thing Rahul Gandhi said on 18th September 2025 was already said, with evidence, by Arvind Kejriwal on 29th December 2024—nine months ago, two months before the Delhi elections.” Who were not BJP votersThe AAP Delhi unit chief continued, “At that press conference, Arvind Kejriwal presented evidence of how names were being selected for deletion—specifically the names of voters who were not BJP voters, but AAP voters in Delhi. Profiling can happen in many ways: through your social media, by asking around in your neighbourhood, through BJP’s booth-level agents. Profiling is not difficult; it is easy to tell who is a firm AAP voter. Profiling also happens by caste, by class, whether you are poor or rich. Once profiled as an AAP voter, applications were filed under the names of other people to get their votes deleted.” When verification was done, those people denied ever filing such applications. Rahul Gandhi today explained this theoretically, but we showed it practically by producing those very people before the EC who denied filing the applications.” Submitted hundreds of deletion applications.Saurabh Bharadwaj said videos of Arvind Kejriwal’s 29th December 2024 press conference are available as proof. He detailed how the EC was forced to issue notices and summon people who had allegedly submitted hundreds of deletion applications. “When they were called, only 11 people showed up, and all 11 denied ever filing such applications. How is it possible that one person sitting at home could file applications saying 108 different people don’t live at their address? What is he, IB? CID? Or is he a domestic worker who knows who has moved out? This is not possible. Who are these people? And why didn’t the EC investigate after we exposed this?” He asked.

Election Commission of India must stop protecting Vote Chors, Says Rahul Gandhi

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi today came out with sensational revelations as how the voters’ names were being deleted and added using a centralized software system, apparently like a call centre. He also said that the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar was protecting those people involved in this process by refusing to divulge the details of ‘vote chori’, specifically citing the investigations being done by the Karnataka CID which is not being provided by the ECI. Identity was used for deleting the voters’ namesAddressing a press conference at Indira Bhawan, the AICC headquarters here today, Gandhi made a detailed presentation and also presented some persons whose identity was used for deleting the voters’ names without their knowledge. He disclosed that it was a “targeted deletion” of voters mainly in ten Congress booths in Aland constituency of Karnataka, out of which the party had won on eight booths in 2018 assembly elections. Besides, he disclosed that the names of voters belonging to those communities which are traditionally opposed to the BJP like the Dalits, the Adivasis, the minorities and the OBCs, were deleted in this targeted deletion process. The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said that it was not a coincidence but a deliberate and well-planned strategy to target the Congress supporters. He said, this was beyond any doubt now that the CEC Gyanesh Kumar was actually protecting those who were murdering the democracy by not providing the required information to the Karnataka CID, which is investigating the fraudulent deletion of voters’ names from the electoral rolls. Rahul Gandhi disclosed that the Karnataka CIDhad written 18 letters in 18 months to the CEC seeking certain specific information like the destination IP from where these deletion forms were filled, the device destination ports from where these applications were filed, and most importantly, the OTP trails. But the ECI was refusing to provide it.Gandhi said there was a particular pattern in the process as the first voter in the booth’s list was chosen as the person who would delete the voters, without his/her knowledge. He cited several instances where people were shown to have got votes deleted when they had actually not done anything, proving that it was done through software. In one case, one woman voter Ms Godabai was shown to have deleted 12 votes. Similarly, another voter, Suryakant was shown to have deleted 12 names within 14 minutes. Another voter, Nagraj was shown to have deleted 2 votes within 36 seconds and that too in the wee hours of the morning at 4.07 a.m. One of these applicants for names’ deletion, Suryakant, was personally present today during the press conference. ‎

BJP Will Safeguard Delhi’s Voter List from Infiltrators and Fake Votes, said Delhi BJP leader Virendra Sachdeva

For the past 20 years, the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress have been consistently involved in creating fake votes in Delhi by making tempting promises and getting people registered fraudulently.Whether it is Rahul Gandhi or Arvind Kejriwal, they are opposing the S.I.R. (Special Intensive Revision) to retain infiltrator voters who could potentially vote for them. Delhi BJP President The BJP will continue to make every effort to ensure that Delhi’s voter list includes only genuine voters of Delhi, and that no fake or infiltrator names are included. While addressing the media today, Delhi BJP President Mr. Virendra Sachdeva said it is unfortunate that whether it is Congress leader Rahul Gandhi or Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal, both are opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in order to retain infiltrator voters who could potentially vote for them. The Delhi BJP President stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party has always worked to ensure the accuracy of the voter list in Delhi. Over the past 20 years, we have made all efforts to correct the voter list. In the recently concluded Assembly elections, we revealed how in some cases, 60 to 100 votes were registered at a single address. Even fake house numbers were placed on footpaths to create minority votes. infiltrators and individuals who were not even citizens of DelhiHe further said that after 2014, during the 2015 Assembly elections, there was a sudden increase of 1.3 million (13 lakh) voters. Again, after 2019, the 2020 Assembly elections saw an increase of more than 800,000 (8 lakh) voters. A detailed investigation revealed that these included infiltrators and individuals who were not even citizens of Delhi. We launched a campaign to address this and informed the Election Commission. We submitted a complaint of 10,000 pages, based on findings by our workers at the booth level. During the last Assembly elections He emphasized that for the past 20 years, AAP and Congress have repeatedly made enticing promises to get people fraudulently registered and create fake votes.During the last Assembly electionswe were able to uncover much of this information.Commission has launched a countrywide Special Intensive Revision program, Virendra Sachdeva said that now the Election Commission has launched a countrywide Special Intensive Revision program, and we welcome this initiative. In Delhi, this process will take into account the 2002 voter list. People whose names were in the 2002 list will only need to fill an enumeration form. Those not listed must provide a copy of their parents’ names from the 2002 list as supporting documentation. Effort to ensure that the voter list belongsSachdeva added that our workers will assist all voters in Delhi throughout this process, and BJP will continue every possible effort to ensure that the voter list belongs solely to the legitimate voters of Delhi, with no fake or infiltrator names.Fake or fraudulent votes are a stain on democracyThe Delhi BJP President concluded by saying that the party believes voting is the right of every citizen and the foundation of a strong democracy. Fake or fraudulent votes are a stain on democracy – something both Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution and democracy itself do not accept. Our workers and we will make every effort to support the Election Commission during this Special Intensive Revision process so that every voter in Delhi gets their rightful

Playing match with Pakistan is treason against nation; Every Indian is seething with anger said Arvind Kejriwal and all Aap leaders

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) tore into the Modi government against Sunday’s India-Pakistan cricket match, urging citizens to boycott the game. National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, senior leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, and Delhi Assembly LoP Atishi declared that playing cricket with Pakistan—a country that shelters terrorists—is an insult to India’s martyrs. Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj further administered an oath to all Lok Sabha office bearers in the capital to boycott the match in solidarity.AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to X and wrote: “Playing a match with Pakistan is treason against the country and that every Indian is deeply angry about it.” AAP slams Modi government for India-Pakistan cricket matchSenior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia wrote on X that after the Pahalgam attack, PM Modi had proudly declared that “talks and terrorism cannot go together.” He added, “It seems that patriotism is limited only to the Prime Minister’s speeches. Now the whole country is asking: have the flames of Operation Sindoor cooled so quickly that cricket matches are being played with the same terrorists? Prime Minister, answer the people.” During a media interaction, senior AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singhsaid, “In Pahalgam, our sisters’ sindoor was snatched away. The Government of India itself said that this was carried out by terrorists from Pakistan. After that, Operation Sindoor was launched, in which our soldiers were martyred, civilians were killed, and even an ADC was martyred. How can we play cricket with the same Pakistan we are fighting against?”Calls it a betrayal of martyrs and urges boycott citing national security concernsThe AAP MP pointed out, stating: “The Government has itself said Operation Sindoor is not yet over. Prime Minister Modi himself declared that blood and water cannot flow together, that terror and trade cannot go together. Then how can blood and sport go together? The truth is, since cricket is linked to their sons’ business, with thousands of crores of rupees at stake, the country’s honour can take a back seat, but their profits must not stop.”He further said, “People must understand that these are fake nationalists. They talk about patriotism again and again, but for them business comes first, and the nation is far behind. Their real interest is in cricket’s massive business and betting. For them, the country does not matter in this trade. The youth who chant ‘Modi-Modi’ blindly must realise this double character. When their business is running, they have no problem with Pakistan. Whether in Dubai, Qatar or anywhere else, as long as their money keeps flowing, they don’t care.”
