Delhi Witnesses AAP’s Political Frustration as Saurabh Bhardwaj Objects to Cleaning of Yamuna’s Vasudev Ghat says Virendra Sachdeva

BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said at a press conference today that when the Aam Aadmi Party was in power, it never tired of boasting about its models of health, education, and development but today, the people of Delhi and the country have witnessed a model of their political frustration that has left the entire Purvanchal (eastern) community in Delhi astonished — wondering why the AAP leadership is so opposed to the development of natural Chhath Puja ghats on the Yamuna by the Delhi BJP government. The press conference was conducted by Delhi BJP Media Head Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor in the presence of Media Relations Head Shri Vikram Mittal. Ensure cleanliness and sanitationVirendra Sachdeva said that today, the people of Delhi saw AAP’s Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj absurdly objecting to the cleaning of Vasudev Ghat on the Yamuna and to the availability of clean water there. He further stated that while opposition parties across the country have often raised concerns about a lack of development or about unclean religious sites, Saurabh Bhardwaj’s act of objecting to the cleaning of the Yamuna through a live video was the first-ever instance of an opposition party protesting against the government’s effort to ensure cleanliness and sanitation. AAP leadership is in panicThe Delhi BJP President added that the Kejriwal government held political prejudice against the Bihari community, and as a result, Kejriwal imposed a ban on Chhath Puja on the Yamuna banks from 2018 to 2024 — without any written judicial or administrative order. Now, when Mrs. Rekha Gupta’s government, in just eight months, has completed the basic cleaning of the Yamuna and made natural ghats available for devotees, the AAP leadership is in panic. Virendra Sachdeva reiterated the two direct questions for AAP: 1. On what administrative grounds did the AAP government ban Chhath Puja on the Yamuna banks in Delhi from 2018 to 2024 ? 2. Why does the AAP leadership object to Mrs. Rekha Gupta’s government ensuring cleanliness and clean water at the Yamuna ghats ? Conducting the press conference, Delhi BJP Media Head Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that when AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj posted about making a “big revelation” on X, he had replied with:“Be ready at 11:30 for the latest edition of Saurabh Bhardwaj’s fabricated stories.” He added with a proverb:“They dug a mountain and found a dead mouse.” When Saurabh Bhardwaj went live after 11:30 and ended up objecting to cleanliness measures for Chhath Puja, he made himself a laughing

AAP’s Ankush Narang Slams BJP for Misleading Figures, Says 9,000 MTS Workers Suffering While Officials Claim 33,000 Beneficiaries

The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Leader of Opposition (LoP) in MCD House Ankush Narang launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led government after the committee meeting failed to resolve the ongoing strike of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) employees. He said BJP Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh handed 5,200 MTS workers a fake showpiece in the name of a committee this Diwali, only to skip its very first meeting along with senior officials. The MCD LoP revealed that the BJP is forcing Hindu employees to spend their festivals on the streets while hiding behind false figures — claiming 33,000 beneficiaries instead of 9,000 MTS staff and inflating the cost from ₹41 crore to ₹400 crore. MCD House meetingAAP’s LoP in MCD House Ankush Narang stated, “On 14 October, during the MCD House meeting, Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh had announced the formation of a committee to resolve the demands of MTS employees who are on strike. He had said the committee’s decision would come within 24 to 48 hours. But no such committee was formed at that time. Now, ten days later, the committee held its first meeting on Saturday, yet no solution to the employees’ problems has been found.” He elaborated, “The committee consists of four members from the BJP, one each from the AAP and the Congress, and three representatives of MTS employees. However, Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh himself did not attend this meeting, nor did senior officials from the MCD Health Department. What, then, was the purpose of this meeting? It clearly shows that the BJP has no intention of resolving the issues faced by MTS employees.” Employees have been on strike for the last 25 daysHighlighting the plight of the striking workers, Ankush Narang said, “These employees have been on strike for the last 25 days. Their Dussehra, Karvachauth, Diwali, Bhaidooj, and now Chhath Puja have all been wasted on the streets. All these are Hindu festivals. Yet, the BJP, which claims to be the protector of Hindutva and Sanatan Dharma, has forced these Hindu employees to spend their festivals on the road. Diwali, the biggest Hindu festival, was turned into a dark Diwali for these workers by the BJP. What kind of hypocrisy is this? The BJP, which seeks votes in the name of Hindus, has now pushed Hindu employees to sit on the streets.”

AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha Slams BJP’s Secret Cloud Seeding Trial in Burari, Questions Safety, Transparency, and Intent Behind ‘Reel Government’s’ Move

Senior AAP Leader and Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha has raised sharp questions over the BJP government’s so-called cloud seeding trial to curb Delhi’s pollution, calling the claim unbelievable. He asked why the BJP, which is projecting the exercise as historic, carried it out secretly without following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), informing the local MLA or alerting residents. The Burari MLA said the chemicals used, like silver iodide, could harm the eyes, skin and lungs, and questioned whether the effects were hidden because most residents of Burari—mainly from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar—are treated as second-class citizens by the BJP. Addressing a press conference, AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha stated, “On Thursday, Delhi’s BJP government’s Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa tweeted a video saying that a cloud seeding trial had been conducted in the Burari area and that it was successful. The claim of success implies that the government carried out cloud seeding. The BJP minister said that when cloud seeding takes place, it results in rainfall, which we call artificial rain, and this helps control air pollution. I believe that when the government conducts cloud seeding, there must be a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in place. This is not something that should be done secretly.” Questioning the trial, Sanjeev Jha said, “When the Rafale deal was happening, BJP leaders were asking people to make reels and take photos. The entire day, the media showed how the deal happened. But when the cloud seeding trial took place, why was it done quietly? People are asking where the trial happened, what it looked like, and what the impact was.” Government could have simply called the media“The government could have simply called the media, and that too could have become a reel. BJP leaders are experts at making reels; theirs is a ‘reel government’ where nothing happens in ‘real’. BJP Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa is two steps ahead in making reels — he could have stood there making one while the plane flew and flares were fired. That would have at least provided some solid information,” he added.Sanjeev Jha said, “I am the local MLA of Burari. The BJP government should have at least informed me. I would have informed the public. People could have taken photos of the plane involved in cloud seeding, and everyone would have known where the trial took place. But residents of Burari say they neither saw any flare nor heard any sound. No one got any information. So what kind of cloud seeding was this? What is more worrying is that the SOP clearly states that residents of the area where the trial is conducted must be alerted beforehand. This is not something to be hidden. The government was not conducting a nuclear test that required secrecy.” He continued, “I have concrete information that the Environment Minister was informed that before conducting cloud seeding anywhere, the residents of that area must be alerted because the chemicals used in the process are not safe for the skin. Was there any impact on crops or the public? What were the effects? Which chemicals were used? Across the world, wherever cloud seeding has been carried out, people have been alerted in advance. It should not be conducted in densely populated areas. Why, then, is the BJP government hiding this information? Why did it not inform the people beforehand? They are tweeting about it after the seeding, yet no one has any details. Why did this happen?” Questioning the government’s intent, Sanjeev Jha stated, “Why did the BJP government choose Burari for the trial? Burari has a large population of migrants, and in the eyes of the BJP, they are treated as second-class citizens because BJP leaders have previously called Purvanchali people ‘infiltrators’. They have said that those living here are outsiders, and houses belonging to people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have been demolished.”BJP’s view, the people of Burari“Perhaps, in BJP’s view, the people of Burari are second-class citizens. But everyone’s dignity and life are equally important. The BJP minister said that the North-East area was chosen for the trial. Does this mean that cloud seeding in the North-East will eliminate pollution across Delhi? If not, why were North-East and Burari chosen? Why only nearby areas? Could there be long-term effects that the BJP wants to avoid controversy over? The BJP government must provide complete information to the people of Delhi,” he asserted. The AAP MLA added that the BJP government says India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted clouds between 27 and 29 October. But the BJP must explain in detail how the clouds will form, what level of humidity is required for rainfall, and whether such humidity exists. They are giving people incomplete information. The public is unaware of the potential effects. Scientists must have briefed the government. If the government does not understand, then scientists themselves should hold a press conference and explain it to the people of Delhi. It is not right to mock people through tweets. Therefore, I demand that the BJP government, the Chief Minister, and the Environment Minister conduct a proper analysis of the effects of cloud seeding. Why was it done secretly? This secrecy only deepens suspicion.” Pointing to the lack of transparency, he further added, “If the government is claiming that it has conducted cloud seeding — the first time ever in history — then it should have done it in a grand manner. Invite all media houses, record videos, and broadcast them on television; that would have earned them praise. But instead, the BJP is busy patting itself on the back, saying, ‘We did cloud seeding, see the video, it was successful, flares were fired.’ Either there was some serious doubt that the BJP could not answer, or there was another reason altogether. There is definitely something fishy in this matter.” Calling the BJP a “reel-making government,” Sanjeev Jha said, “The BJP keeps promoting itself through reels at every step. Chhath Puja is around the corner, but the condition of ghats

Delhi BJP Hails Rekha Gupta Government’s Success,Yamuna Water Now Fit for Aachman After 8 Months of Intensive Cleaning Efforts “says Virendra Sachdeva”

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated that the result of Smt. Rekha Gupta government’s eight month long commitment and efforts toward cleaning the Yamuna that today the river’s water is not only fit for taking a dip but also pure enough for aachman (ritual drinking). Sachdeva said that on October 25, 2024, ten days before Chhath Puja, he had taken a dip in the Yamuna at the ITO ghat in Delhi to expose the river’s plight before the world. The world witnessed that the Yamuna had become like a filthy drain, and that dip had landed him in the hospital. Kejriwal government’s loot in the name of cleaningThat dip, he said, exposed the Kejriwal government’s loot in the name of cleaning the Yamuna, and with the blessings of Yamuna Ji and Chhath Maiya, the BJP government was formed in Delhi. Virendra Sachdeva further stated that as a result of Smt. Rekha Gupta government’s determined and sincere efforts toward Yamuna cleaning, today, on October 23, 2025, Delhi BJP spokesperson and environmental expert Dr. Anil Gupta performed aachman (drank the holy water) of Yamuna at Kalindi Kunj and ITO ghats in front of journalists.Performed aachman of Yamuna water live onHe added that today, on October 23, 2025, Dr. Anil Gupta not only performed aachman of Yamuna water live on TV but also presented online monitoring data proving that as a result of eight months of cleaning efforts by the Rekha Gupta government, the Yamuna water has no foul smell, its oxygen level ranges between 4.5 and 5.5, and its pH is 7.5 — close to normal. The Delhi BJP President said that whether it was Yamuna Maiya or Chhath Maiya, the Arvind Kejriwal government committed corruption in their names, and today, it is because of that corruption that they are no longer in power.

Deliberate stoppage of canal water shows extent to which BJP govts can go for their false propaganda says Saurabh Bharadwaj

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has exposed the BJP government’s deceptive tactics to project a cleaner Yamuna ahead of Chhath Puja. AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj shared a video of Uttar Pradesh’s Eastern Canal, originating from Haryana’s Hathnikund Barrage, lying completely dry. He pointed out the BJP governments in Delhi and Haryana have blocked UP’s canal water and diverted it into the Yamuna to create a temporary illusion of clean water during the festival—an attempt aimed at avoiding public anger over pollution that could cost the party in the upcoming Bihar elections. Video on X exposing “BJP’s deceitSenior AAP leader and Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj on Thursday shared a video on X exposing “BJP’s deceit” over Yamuna pollution control. He stated that the BJP governments in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have manipulated the flow of water from the Hathnikund Barrage to create a temporary illusion of cleaner Yamuna water for Chhath celebrations Yamuna’s pollution ahead of Chhath“BJP’s lie has been caught. To reduce Yamuna’s pollution ahead of Chhath, the BJP stopped the UP canal’s water flow. Haryana’s BJP government diverted all water meant for UP farmers from Hathnikund into the Yamuna. The BJP governments are so fearful of Chhath that they want to somehow reduce the river’s pollution for just three or four days. By blocking water in the Eastern Canal, one can see how far BJP governments can go for false propaganda,” said Saurabh Bharadwaj. Purvanchalis for over a decadeHe pointed out that the BJP has been deceiving Purvanchalis for over a decade. “For the last 10–11 years, BJP has been dishonest with Purvanchalis. Their politics stoops so low that it’s beyond imagination. For years, under a planned conspiracy, BJP made Purvanchalis yearn to celebrate Chhath on the Yamuna banks. Before every Chhath, additional water used to be released from Haryana’s Hathnikund Barrage into the Yamuna. This diluted the polluted water from the Najafgarh drain, reduced froth, and made the river suitable for Chhath rituals,” he said. Saurabh Bharadwaj explained how the diversion is being carried out: “At the Hathnikund Barrage, it is decided how much water will flow into the canal going to Uttar Pradesh and how much into the Yamuna. Since Tuesday, BJP’s government has brought the flow of the Eastern Canal down to zero. As a result, UP’s farmers are not getting water for irrigation. But to serve its propaganda, BJP has diverted all the water into the Yamuna. The Yamuna now has full flow while the Eastern Canal has dried up. The extra canal water entering Yamuna will make it appear cleaner. Then they will spray defoaming agents to remove the froth. This is BJP’s entire conspiracy,” he asserted.

GRAP-3 should be enforced when AQI crosses 350, but CAQM has not implemented it, says Saurabh Bharadwaj

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday exposed how the BJP government shut down Delhi’s pollution monitors and manipulated data on Diwali night to hide the real Air Quality Index (AQI) levels. AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj pointed out how the government showed AQI readings of 350 when actual levels went beyond 1700, misleading citizens into believing the air was safe.Calling it “data theft at a government level”, the former Delhi minister asserted the BJP had not only endangered lives but also committed a criminal offence to falsely claim credit for cleaner air. He further slammed a BJP minister for shamefully blaming Punjab’s Sikh farmers for Delhi’s pollution despite data showing over 90% reduction in stubble burning and its contribution to city pollution being less than 1%. Addressing a press conference senior AAP leader and Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj pointed out, “Today’s Hindi and English newspapers are filled with reports that the BJP government has concealed and manipulated pollution data. As pollution levels began to rise on Diwali night, the government’s pollution monitoring stations mysteriously shut down on their own. How is it possible that multiple stations went offline at the same time?”He elaborated, “Four different institutions were operating various monitoring stations — the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the India Meteorological Department (IMD), and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM). Dozens of their stations went offline at night and remained closed until the wind started blowing the next morning. Once the air began to move, these stations were suddenly switched back on. This is blatant dishonesty and data theft — and against whom? Against the people of Delhi.” Criticising the government’s deception, Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “You are cheating the innocent citizens of Delhi, who already suffer from respiratory diseases such as bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia, and many others. You are misleading them into believing that the Air Quality Index (AQI) is low. When you announce that the AQI is 320 or 350, people think, ‘Oh, the air can be managed today, we can go for a morning walk, go to work, or send our children to school.’ But in reality, the AQI is far higher — BJP is manipulating it.” Referring to specific cases, he added, “At the Nehru Nagar monitoring station, the reading reached 1763. Soon after, that station was shut down. Newspapers have also reported that while the government’s official reading at Siri Fort showed an AQI of 325, international mobile applications showed 1700. This is a huge difference between. When you remove such high readings — 1700, 1800, 2000 — from the dataset, you automatically lower the daily average AQI, which is calculated from hourly readings. This is done to deceive Delhi’s people and falsely earn praise.” According to the rules, when the AQI crosses 350, Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) should automatically come into effect, and restrictions should be imposed. Why has the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) not implemented GRAP Stage III yet? These are serious questions. The Supreme Court had directed that pollution data be accurately monitored and reported. If the government has tampered with the data, it has committed contempt of court,” asserted the AAP Delhi chief. Calling it a criminal act, he said, “By hiding the real AQI from the public, the government has committed a criminal offence. You are making people sicker, pushing them to hospitals, even risking their lives — and you do not care. You only want to show that the data has improved. This theft of data by a government is a serious offence.”

Firecrackers Not to Blame Delhi BJP Chief Slams AAP Over Pollution Politics, Highlights Punjab Stubble Burning says Virendera Sachdeva

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated that it is a welcome sign that firecrackers were burst in Delhi last night, yet there has been no significant negative impact on the air pollution situation in the region Sachdeva further said Leaders like Saurabh Bharadwaj are compelled to appease the Muslim community to secure their vote bank. This is why they continue to spread confusion among the public on one issue or another. Currently, AAP leaders are making statements blaming pollution increase on firecrackers and are calling for another ban on them. Increase slightly this year as wellVirendra Sachdeva stated that without a doubt, the AQI-which rises every winter-will increase slightly this year as well. On the morning of October 31, 2024-the day after Diwali-Delhi had recorded an AQI of a record-breaking 396. Today, October 21, the city’s average AQI stands at 356.He added that although Punjab’s farmers have been troubled by floods this year, now that the floodwaters have receded, they are working to clear their fields, which includes burning some stubble. Between October 11 and October 19, 2025, a total of 309 major stubble burning incidents were registered in Punjab. Punjab neither helped the farmersIt is shameful that the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Punjab neither helped the farmers earlier to prevent stubble burning nor is it offering any assistance now to the flood-affected farmers to stop them from burning stubble. The Delhi BJP President has said it is true that pollution levels in Delhi have risen, but it is also true that reports of stubble burning in Punjab began surfacing two to three days before the pollution levels started increasing on October 17. He further said that neither the previous Congress governments nor the current Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi took any solid steps to control pollution or improve the situation. Now that Mrs. Rekha Gupta’s administration is working in a planned manner to improve the pollution scenario, AAP leaders — who are known for their statements
