Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva has taken sharp aim at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his recent statement regarding the Nobel Prize, calling it not only laughable but an insult to public intelligence. “If Nobel Prizes were given for incompetence, anarchy, and corruption, Kejriwal would be the frontrunner,” Shri Sachdeva remarked sarcastically.

From Sheeshmahal to Liquor Police,A Trail of Scams
Enumerating a series of alleged scandals linked to the Delhi CM, Shri Sachdeva said that each scam associated with Kejriwal is bigger than the previous from the Sheeshmahal construction irregularities to the liquor excise policy scandal. “We only regret that there is no Nobel Prize for corruption, only jail terms,” he added.

History of Controversial Funding and Magsaysay Award Under Question
Shri Sachdeva also cast doubt on Kejriwal’s past associations with foreign entities and awards. “His early activities, funded by foreign sources and linked to the Ford Foundation, have always been surrounded by suspicion. Even the Magsaysay Award he received was controversial,” he said.

Public Has Not Forgotten Kejriwal’s Governance Failures
The Delhi BJP President listed several incidents and scams under Kejriwal’s tenure that he said the public still remembers the alleged scam in the pension scheme for underprivileged women, failure of panic button installations for women’s safety, assault allegations involving female colleagues, Delhi Jal Board irregularities, transport and education department corruption, COVID-19 supply scams, illegal surveillance activities, and more.

Anarchy Before National Days a Sign of Reckless Politics
Shri Sachdeva also reminded citizens of Kejriwal’s disruptive sit-ins and protests at the Lieutenant Governor’s residence before Republic Day 2014 and Independence Day 2024, calling them examples of “premeditated political chaos.”

Delhi Voters Have Already Delivered Their Verdict
Concluding his remarks, Shri Sachdeva said, “The people of Delhi have already made their stance clear in the February 2025 elections. There’s no prize for betrayal of public trust only accountability and consequences.”
