Padma Bhushan awardee and badminton player Saina Nehwal, along with Padma Shri awardee, boxer Vijender Singh, will flag off the Yuva Daud (Youth Run) organized by Gandhi Smriti on September 14, 2025 to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The run will start from the National Stadium and culminate at Gandhi Smriti. Around 5,000 children will participate in the event. The theme of the run is “Gandhi ki Soch, Modi ka Josh” (Gandhi’s Vision, Modi’s Zeal). Sharing details, Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and former Union Minister Vijay Goel said every youth’s t-shirt will carry on its back the message of those Gandhian ideas, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented during his governance.

Over 5,000 Children to Participate in Themed Run
Vice Chairman of Gandhi Darshan, former Union Minister Vijay Goel said that the youth are very excited about this race. More than 5000 youth are going to participate in this race. Goel informed that every youth’s t-shirt will carry on its back the message of those Gandhian ideas Prime Minister which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented during his governance.Goel said that this race will be from National Stadium to Gandhi Smriti. The children will be holding the schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which have been implemented taking inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi, such as ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan’ ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, ‘Swadeshi’, ‘women empowerment’, upliftment of the poor, construction of toilets, etc.

Vijay Goel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also the Chairman of our Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti. The way Prime Minister Narendra Modi has adopted Gandhi’s ideals while being the Prime Minister of the country and has imbibed them in his schemes in the country is highly praiseworthy. Goel said that most of the children participating in the race come from slum areas. Goel also said that every participating child will be given a medal and a certificate, so that they remain enthusiastic in life and try to move towards a goal with determination.
