Wayanad, Kerala In response to the ongoing weather alerts across Kerala, AICC General Secretary and Member of Parliament from Wayanad, Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, reached out to the District Collectors of Wayanad, Malappuram, and Kozhikode to review their readiness for any rain-induced emergencies.
The discussions focused on the steps taken to address the risks of landslides and urban flooding in vulnerable regions. District officials informed her that critical zones have been marked, and precautionary measures have been strengthened accordingly.
Priyanka Gandhi also asked about the status of relocation plans for families likely to be affected and whether relief camps are adequately equipped. She reviewed the communication systems in place to warn residents of adverse weather conditions and stressed the need for efficient public alert mechanisms.
She assured the officials of the support of local Congress teams and her personal commitment to assist with relief work wherever needed during the monsoon season.
