In response to India’s powerful ‘Operation Sindoor’—an unprecedented strike on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK)—Pakistan has launched a false propaganda campaign, claiming it shot down Indian fighter jets and targeted army headquarters. These assertions have been firmly denied by Indian authorities, including the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

Pakistan’s False Claims After Indian Strike

Following the airstrikes, Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar made statements to international media, alleging that Pakistan retaliated by shooting down India’s Rafale and MiG jets and attacking the Indian Army’s headquarters in Jammu & Kashmir. However, these claims have been declared baseless and misleading.

PIB Fact-Check Refutes Pakistani Allegations
India’s official fact-checking body, PIB, issued a clear statement refuting the Pakistani claims. It stated that no Indian aircraft were lost and no Indian Army headquarters were attacked. It advised citizens to avoid sharing unverified content and rely only on official government sources for updates.

Decades-After Historic Operation by India

On Wednesday morning, India executed its most significant military operation on Pakistani soil since the 1971 war. Airstrikes targeted terror camps in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot (Pakistan), and five key locations in PoK. These sites were reportedly being used by terror outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to plan attacks on Indian soil.

A Measured, Non-Escalatory Strike

India’s Ministry of Defence emphasized that the strikes were precise, focused, and restrained. No Pakistani military establishments were targeted. The Indian Armed Forces used advanced weapon systems to hit nine terrorist bases without causing civilian or military escalation.

Joint Operation by All Three Forces

Operation Sindoor was a combined mission involving the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The joint task force used cutting-edge weaponry and thoroughly trained personnel to conduct the mission, sending a strong message against terrorism.
