Delhi Government’s Minister for Social Welfare, Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh, inaugurated high mast lights installed through the MLA fund in the villages of Punjab Khor, Jat Khor, Qutubgarh, Bajitpur Thakran, Nangal Thakran, and Dariyapur along with local residents. He said that this initiative is not only a step towards development but also an effort to improve the quality of life in rural areas. On this occasion, concerned departmental officers and a large number of villagers were present.

Expressing gratitude, the villagers said that these villages remained in darkness for a long time, which caused inconvenience in movement after dusk. Now, with the installation of high mast lights, the main squares and intersections will be illuminated, providing a sense of safety and security. The lighting will also benefit local athletes by enabling nighttime practice sessions in village playgrounds. The Social Welfare Minister stated that the government’s priority is to provide basic amenities in rural areas and to bring the last person in society into the mainstream of development. He added that continuous development of roads, street lights, parks, and community buildings in the villages will be ensured.

Delhi Government is committed to the balanced

Ravinder Indraj emphasized that the Delhi Government is committed to the balanced development of villages. The goal of a developed Delhi cannot be achieved without rural development. Developed villages will form the strength of a developed Delhi. He also informed that the concerned department has been assigned the responsibility for the regular maintenance of the newly installed high mast lights to ensure their smooth functioning for a long time.
On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister appealed to the villagers to actively participate in keeping their villages clean and beautiful so that the villages not only remain well-lit but also become clean and aesthetically appealing.
