Delhi BJP General Secretary and Member of Parliament from North-West Delhi Shri Yogendra Chandolia today addressed a press conference to announce the organization of Unity Marches in the North-West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Present at the press conference were District President Shri Vinod Sahrawat, District Vice President Shri Mewa Ram Rathore, and Delhi BJP Spokesperson Shri Shubhendu Shekhar Awasthi, among others. Yogendra Chandolia stated that, as per the directions of the Ministry of Sports and under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Unity Marches are being organized across the country. The Government of India has planned three processions in each Lok Sabha constituency, ensuring participation from government officials, school students, NCC cadets, and members of the public.
Unity Marches will be held
In the North-West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, three Unity Marches will be held — two in the North-West District and one in the Outer Delhi District. The marches will be organized on November 15 in Narela and November 16 in Outer Delhi. Through these marches, the message of unity — that “we all are one nation” — will be conveyed. Shri Chandolia said that these marches aim to take Sardar Patel’s message to every home. He further added that discussions with students will also be held on the theme of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India), and programs for cleanliness drives and tree plantation will also take place.
Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai
Highlighting the double standards faced by India’s former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shri Yogendra Chandolia said that Patel truly deserved to be the Prime Minister of India, but became a victim of political circumstances. As Home Minister, Sardar Patel displayed exceptional ability and statesmanship — uniting over 500 princely states, many of which had initially wanted to remain independent after the partition of India and Pakistan. Through his diplomatic skill and determination, he successfully integrated them into the Indian Union.
