The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced the successful launch of 33 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, marking a significant step in the implementation of a major commitment made in its election manifesto.

Advancing the Vision of Free and Quality Healthcare
Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva hailed the launch as a timely initiative aligned with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of delivering free and quality healthcare to all citizens. He stated that these Ayushman Arogya Mandirs would play a pivotal role in strengthening the primary healthcare infrastructure across the national capital.

Massive Expansion Plan with ₹2400 Crore Investment
Shri Sachdeva revealed that the inauguration of these 33 centers is part of a larger plan involving an investment of over ₹2400 crore. The project aims to establish a total of 1139 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, ensuring that high-standard primary health services are available to residents in every part of Delhi.

World-Class Medical Facilities for All
The newly launched centers will provide a wide range of medical services including consultations, diagnostics, vaccinations, and maternity care. Shri Sachdeva emphasized that these services will adhere to global standards of healthcare delivery.

Clean and Transparent Implementation Model
Highlighting the importance of transparency, the Delhi BJP President noted that these centers are being set up exclusively in government-owned properties. This, he said, eliminates the risk of financial irregularities such as those allegedly seen in the Mohalla Clinics run during the previous Aam Aadmi Party government, where clinics were housed in properties linked to party affiliates.

Critique of Previous Healthcare Model
According to Shri Sachdeva, the Mohalla Clinics of the former Kejriwal-led government were marred by corruption and lacked adequate medical infrastructure. He criticized the previous model for providing limited treatment in cramped spaces where all patients, regardless of ailment, were seen togethe raising the risk of coss-infection.

Towards a Healthier Delhi in 18 Months
He concluded by stating that within the next 12 to 18 months, the network of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs would be fully operational, ensuring accessible, modern, and equitable healthcare to every citizen in Delhi.
