Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday expressed deep anger and anguish over the recurring incidents of competitive exam paper leaks in BJP-ruled states. Sharing a video of a student preparing for competitive exams on X, Arvind Kejriwal wrote, “The pain in this girl’s eyes and voice makes one furious. She is a farmer’s daughter. Somehow her father saves money to send her to the city to study, and then the paper gets leaked. What is this girl supposed to do now? Where should she go? This is the same pain felt by the majority of youth in the country who are preparing for competitive exams.
Cannot remain helpless
Why is it that wherever their governments are in power, paper leaks are happening?”The AAP Supremo asserted that these leaks are not accidents but orchestrated acts. “Papers don’t leak on their own. Their leaders and ministers make them leak. Yet no one ever gets caught. How can they be caught? When the boatman himself sinks the boat, who will save it? A government that cannot even conduct exams properly is unfit to govern a state. Crying won’t solve the problem. The youth of this country cannot remain helpless. Such a government must either resign or be overthrown,” he declared.
Arvind Kejriwal shared featured the student voicing
The video Arvind Kejriwal shared featured the student voicing the crushing financial burden on her family as she struggles to prepare for exams amidst rampant leaks. The student said she lives alone in the city, paying ₹6,000 in rent every month because rooms are not available for less. On top of this, coaching fees for a year range between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000, with additional expenses for food and living. Her parents somehow manage to send her ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 every month. Her father is a farmer, while her mother does not work. The student lamented that massive irregularities are taking place in examinations, and under such conditions, families like hers cannot possibly afford to keep paying for her education.
