
Under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) President Shri. Devender Yadav, a signature campaign was held at the Karawal Nagar District Congress Committee and Tilak Nagar District Congress Committee today against Vote Chori by the BJP in collusion with the Election Commission, which received overwhelming support from the people. Congress workers went door-to-door to meet the people and discuss with the public about BJP’s conspiracy of stealing votes in connivance with the Election Commission and get their signatures. Office-bearers and workers of frontal organizations, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal and NSUI, cells and departments also joined signature campaign and raised slogans “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod”.
Delhi are openly supporting the signature campaign against vote
Devender Yadav said that people of Delhi are openly supporting the signature campaign against vote theft, to boost the morale of the Congress workers. During the signature campaign led by Shri Devender Yadav, shopkeepers in markets, public on roads, red lights, street vendors, those who earn their livelihood on the roadside etc. joined the signature campaign to register their protest against vote theft by the BJP. Devender Yadav said that it seems as if people were waiting to join the signature campaign started by the Congress in every district to free the country from the vote theft.
Responsibility of conducting elections
Apart from DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav, district presidents Aadesh Bhardwaj and Dharampal Chandela, former MLA Bhisham Sharma, observers C..P. Mittal, Ramesh Sabbarwal, Kamal Kant Sharma, Tasvir Solanki, Ishwar Bagri, Dr. P.K. Mishra, J.P. Panwar, Rajesh Yadav, Laxman Rawat, Rajiv Verma, Lokendra Chaudhary, Mangesh Tyagi, Zeba Khan, woman district president Priya Jayant and Farid Shah, Pramod Jayant, Deepak Vashisth, Prem Kumar, Sureshwati Chauhan were present. Devender Yadav said that Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Shri Rahul Gandhi had exposed BJP’s conspiracy with the Election Commission to indulge in vote theft before the country and the signature campaign was started to take BJP’s vote theft to the people across the country. He said that the responsibility of conducting elections in a fair and transparent manner rested with the Election Commission, which had been given Constitutional status by the makers of the Constitution but the ruling BJP indulged in a conspiracy to steal votes by misusing the Election Commission.
