Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal today sharply criticized the BJP-led Central and Delhi administrations, holding them accountable for the rising wave of fear in the national capital. “For the third consecutive day, schools in Delhi have received bomb threats. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the so-called four-engine government appear completely indifferent to the safety of Delhi’s schoolchildren. The BJP is pushing Delhi into chaos and lawlessness,” Kejriwal said on social media platform X.

Recurring Bomb Scares Forcing Parents into Daily Panic: Saurabh Bharadwaj
AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj highlighted the emotional toll on families due to recurring bomb threats to schools. “This has become a disturbing routine. Parents drop their kids to school and head to work, only to be called back in panic hours later. Since school buses only operate in the afternoon, each parent is forced to rush to the school to collect their terrified child,” he said.

He further questioned the government’s helplessness in the face of threats allegedly originating from abroad. “Is this the same government that promised to bring back black money from foreign banks? And now they can’t trace who is behind these emails? If these threats are truly coming from another country, why hasn’t the issue been taken up diplomatically? Why is our government standing silent and powerless?”

Failure to Act Despite Repeated Threats is a Shame
Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also expressed his dismay, stating: “Every few weeks, schools across Delhi receive bomb threats. This has instilled deep fear among parents and children. The worst part is that not a single culprit has been identified. It seems the entire intelligence machinery is busy chasing the Opposition instead of protecting children.”

He added, “It is appalling that in a nation boasting of technological progress, we remain clueless about the source of these threats. The BJP must redirect its surveillance systems from political witch-hunts to tracking down the real culprits threatening our schools.”

Even With Full Control, BJP Fails to Secure Schools
Echoing these sentiments, Delhi Leader of Opposition Atishi condemned the BJP’s inaction. “Despite having full control at the Centre, MCD, LG office, and the Delhi Police—what BJP calls its four-engine model—there’s still no breakthrough. The party has failed to determine who is sending these threats and why. This is not governance; this is abdication of duty.”

Vinay Mishra Shares Personal Account
AAP MLA Vinay Mishra shared a heart-wrenching personal experience from earlier in the day. “As a father, I too felt the fear that so many parents endure. I had just dropped my daughter to school when panic broke out. We were told to take our children back home immediately as several schools had received fresh bomb threats. How long will this continue? Is there any accountability?”

He urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to prioritize Delhi’s safety over political campaigns. “Instead of spending all his time at rallies, Mr. Shah must focus on restoring a sense of security in Delhi’s schools. Thousands of young children study here, and every such incident throws families into turmoil.”

AAP Demands Immediate Action
The Aam Aadmi Party has called upon the Central Government and Delhi’s law enforcement agencies to take swift and serious action to identify those behind the threats and restore safety and peace for the city’s families. The party emphasized that the lives of lakhs of students and their families must not be put at risk due to political apathy and administrative paralysis.
