Sachdeva expressed serious concern over the discovery of sharp glass pieces spread over a one-kilometer stretch of the Kanwar path in East Delhi’s Shahdara area on the night of July 12. He emphasized that this was not a random act but a deliberate attempt to sabotage the peaceful religious event.
Deliberate Conspiracy to Disturb Peace
The pattern of glass shard both small and largescattered across such a long stretch, suggests a well-planned conspiracy by anti-social elements aiming to create chaos and disrupt harmony. Sachdeva urged Delhi Police to expedite its investigation and bring those responsible to justice.
Political Silence Raises Questions
Sachdeva also pointed out the silence of certain political parties that have often engaged in appeasement politics. Their unwillingness to speak out on such a serious matter raises doubts about their intentions and complicity, he said.

He expressed relief that no Kanwar pilgrims were present on that particular stretch when the glass was discovered, as the Yatra is still in its early stages. If the route had been active, it could have resulted in injuries or even unrest.
